l.  Cloning and experimenting on embryos destroys human life  (not  POTENTIAL human life).

 

2.  ESCs (Embryonic Stem Cells) are unnecessary e.g. ASCs (Adult Stem Cells) and cord cells are doing the job, and new technologies are emerging.

 

3.  ESCs are harmful, e.g. rejection and tumour formation

 

4.  ESCs require exploitation of women for eggs

 

5.  Private venture capital is not investing in ESCs -  the "market" is telling the truth.

 

6.  Taxpayers' or university money invested in ESCs takes money away from ASCs which ARE producing the cures and treatments.
